The marketplace for Swiss-bred shrimp

A place for dwarf shrimp bred in Switzerland. Register for free, create your own profile and publish your listings.

The marketplace is a free directory of Swiss breeders offering their captive-bred shrimp. Registration, profiles and listings are free, with no commission or fees. Every listing identifies who bred the animals. Garnelenfischer itself does not sell shrimp here.

As a buyer, you contact the seller directly; the purchase, payment and shipping are between the two of you. As a breeder, create your account, complete your profile and publish a listing, with no application procedure or waiting period.

Where we are right now

The marketplace has just launched. Registered sellers appear here automatically once they publish a listing. This is the honest state of a newly opened, free marketplace.

Why only Swiss-bred shrimp?

We accept only listings for animals actually bred in Switzerland. This is a declaration by the seller, not a check by us: with each listing, the seller explicitly confirms that they bred the animals themselves in Switzerland. A listing cannot be saved without that confirmation. We do not check this beforehand or award a certification. Concerns are moderated afterwards; see Marketplace guidelines.

Seller listings

This list loads listings directly from registered sellers' accounts. Clicking “Contact seller” takes you to that seller, rather than a Garnelenfischer basket: you arrange the purchase, payment and shipping directly with the seller.

Swiss-bred: a self-declaration, not a certification

For every listing there is no preliminary check and no seal of approval: “Swiss-bred” is solely the individual seller's own declaration. If something in a listing seems implausible, contact us through the Contact details. We follow up on every report; misuse results in the profile being removed.

What we do not offer here. No commission, basic fee, monthly fee or listing fee, and no active buyer protection involving held funds. See the Guidelines. Sellers remove sold listings from their accounts themselves; we maintain no live stock records beyond that.

All breeders at a glance

The listing list above loads in your browser and changes continually. If you prefer to start with the people rather than a listing, the seller directory contains every profile with its own breeding text and at least one active listing. Each profile there has a permanent address that can be shared and linked.

New listings by email

One email a week with listings added since the previous digest. Optional, free and easy to unsubscribe from with one click. To follow an individual seller, visit their profile.

The checkbox is empty and never preselected. After submitting, you first receive a confirmation request; messages are sent only after confirmation. An account does not subscribe you to anything. Details are in the Privacy policy.
